As a Clinical Lecturer (Education) in Restorative Dentistry you will strengthen the clinical academic base in the Centre for Dentistry within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at QUB and the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT). You will undertake significant teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, engage in scholarly activity and contribute to Centre's administration/outreach activity and also deliver and enhance clinical service.

The Dentistry degree programme at Queen's is Ranked 1st in the Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024, 2nd in the Guardian University Guide 2024 and 4th in the Complete University Guide 2024 out of the 16 Dental Schools in the UK.

About the person:

Your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria relating to education and qualifications:

  • BDS (or equivalent).
  • Higher degree (Masters or equivalent).
  • Current, full Registration with the GDC.
  • On the GDC Specialist List in Restorative Dentistry or within 6 months of eligibility for inclusion.
  • Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Restorative Dentistry, or within 6 months ofcompletion.
  • Possession of a CCST in Restorative Dentistry (or within 6 months of completion), or eligibility for a CCST inRestorative Dentistry.
  • Successful completion of an SAC-approved 5 year minimum training programme in Restorative Dentistry, orwithin 6 months of completion, or equivalent.
